My world is Poker

I've cashed !

June 20, 2010

I know that $60.00 is nothing to write home about, but since I'm writing in here I guess I might as well let loose ! :]

I was playing a league game with my cyber sisters @ Wass Poker, when one of them offered to back me on Full Tilt. So last Sunday, I proceeded going through their tourney schedule trying to find an interesting game. Not to expensive, but over 10 bucks. My eyes came over the "Double Deuce" tourney, being played in late afternoon. I instinctively knew this should be the one. I had played it before without any gains, but my motto is try everything twice so.....

So I listed the game on CMU and offered myself as a horse for it. Unfortunately, I didn't have that much in my FT account (didn't want to deposit) so decided since she was my good friend, to let her have most of the moolah. And she did wound up with most of it. (thumbup)

Nice little profit for a Sunday afternoon ! My point for this is; when you play systematically every week, you might find yourself loosing in the long run. Personally, I prefer to choose a game on instinct, amount of players, pot, etc.....

I will probably be playing this again soon and will put myself up on CMU ! So be on the lookout if you are looking for a horse..... Wink

Stay tuned for the next installment ....

What's up ?

June 12, 2010

Hello gang,

Actually?....Not that much. It has been difficult to play good games as of late, so I can not report much. I sometime play small freerolls or buyins, but usually don't bother to post. If you, however, still want to know how I'm doing in those small games, you can come to my website (for a lack of a better word...). I've been posting the games I have cashed in, over a buck. I have not yet had the chance to post my results in the "GFNSOP", but will soon. The GFNSOP is a mini WSOP put together by an agglomeration of poker forums I belong to. Great fun !!

Been a while....

April 14, 2010

Hello everyone,

As it been that long!?..... Guess so. Well, I have been playing wayyyyy to many freerolls for the past few months. A dollar here, a dollar there, it was nothing to write about.

Got this email, at the beginning of the month for a promotion w/PokerNews. So decided to give it a try. So I registered for the PNews $1K Series , on April fools. I did pretty well through out to secure the "Runner-Up" place. Got some very rewarding emotions on this one....Wink

194 Players / 2nd Place $294.00
Profit $288.50

Another bill paid..... (thumbup)

See you next game....

Indeed, getting better....

July 03, 2009

Hello everyone,

Yes, indeed, it's getting much better. I'm baaaack!!!! ....for the most part.

I had another league qualifier today...the last one. Another final table for me @ Red Kings.

Today, we had 49 players with ITM @ top 5. Same buy-in $10+1 NL. Was able to reach 1st place and keep it for a good 1/2hr. Stayed in top 5 for the last quarter of the game to finish...

3rd to secure $118.40. Yessssss ....!!!

Prior to this I had played the "$10K Add. Summer Party for $10+1", w/2,033 Players. I ITM @ 474th place for $16.02.

Not a bad day's work. I will be putting an event to sell on CMU soon.

Stay tuned.... Wink

Finally !!!

June 30, 2009

Finally!!! I believe my "dry" period is coming to an end. Yesterday, I used up a few tickets I had accumulated on 770 Poker to fill up my bankroll, successfully. So decided on a real try today...

Realising I had a league qualifier today on Red Kings, I'd soon see if I was right...

$10+1 NL $250 Added. Top 10 paid. 70 Players

Good start for the most part, but soon found myself in the bottom half. Was a struggle for most of it, but I was on "top of my game", so to speak. I distinctly noticed getting fewer bad beats and a bit more luck, compared to what I have been suffering through for the past few weeks.

Managed to secure an 8th Place, for a 270% profit.

I will soon see if this game was a fluke, or if I'm back for a while.

Stay tuned.....

Some small wins.

June 27, 2009

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to report that my "dry" period is hanging on for dear life. I have managed to secure some small wins, but nothing to write home about, THAT's why I'm writing it. LOL

I have been playing more on Poker Stars lately, I have re-discovered Stars after a few years of abstinence. They have some cheap guarantees running through out the day, which is nice. I've been pretty successfull in them, over all. I'm glad to see many of them are WITHOUT rebuys.....never liked them much. If I ever feel the need to go to a circus, I WILL!

Stay tuned.....

Small gain yesterday

June 14, 2009

Hello there,

I've been going through a rough week. The decks have been cold with a fair share of bad beats. Yesterday, wanting to play but to keep it fairly safe, I registered for the $40,000 Gtd - $3+.30 R/A at Stars.
Was a struggle through out w/me hanging below average for most of the game. Was able to get ahead a little before the money. Needless to say I didn't make final table, but still managed a profit. I didn't re-buy, but purchased an add-on.

So for a $6.30 investment;

Players = 4,454
Top paid = 675
Finished = 128th
Win = $66.27
Net Profit = $59.97

Stay tuned....

Another small win

June 07, 2009

Howdy everyone,

My day started out rather bad...woke up way too early with a bunch of noises in the backyard. After a few cups of coffee, I wondered what was happening game wise on the net. So started looking.....

Nothing too exciting, but Stars had some "crazy" qualifiers for the $¼M later on, so decided on trying that. Figured for a $1.10 what the hell! Talk about crazy.... you guys probably know what I'm talking about: they run every few minute with a max of 36 players, xtra turbo with 500 chips. Anyways, by the 3rd game I qualified (cheaper than buying the $11 entry to the event).

When the time game I sat down and proceeded to work through the huge field of 29,214 players registered. Up and down through out, but in good shape for most of it.

I made my move when it looked as if I wouldn't go any further: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} in good position, with 3x the blinds (6K blinds), I raised. One other player followed. The flop came {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}Xx. With 2 clubs on the board, I went in for 12K and the other player raised. Figured, he wanted me off the pot, I pushed all in. To my amazement he called!!!....with a flush draw. Amazing he followed me pre-flop with a {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} !!!!!!!!! Needless to say he caught his club on the river to take me out in 1,373rd place.

Still took home $46.75. Not too shabby for a $3.00 investment. Still, I had to get "shit" from the hubby who thought I should've fold after the flop. With my AK ???? (right). He doesn't play poker....

Let us see what else I can do...

Stay tuned for the next instalment of....

June starts w/a nice one.

June 02, 2009

Howdy everyone,

I had not played a good game in over a week, when I saw this $10,000 Guaranteed at Cake yesterday. Having some good finishes as of late on that site (see previous post) and the "feel" was not too bad, so thought I'd give it a try...

Half way through, things didn't look too bright. Was down to about 1/3 my stack when this loose player gave me some pretty good signs of a fairly weak hand, with my "big slick" ({A-Clubs}{K-Spades} os), I thought to raise him a fairly good amount. To my surprise he called and brought me back into the game. A few good hit after that brought me into the top 10%. Reached 1st place a while later. Was able to maintained that position for quite a while before slipping back and forth between the top 10.

Was able to secure 10th place for a nice $210.00. The field was at 172 players w/a buy-in of $50+5, so not a bad start for the month. Hoping to get another opportunity soon.

Stay tuned for the next instalment of....."A day in the life of Daisy" :]

My win of this past April

May 27, 2009

Howdy folks,

So here I am trying to keep track of what is happening in my poker. Never done this before so....bare with me please.

I'm starting this experiment with a great win today. If you have seen this somewhere else, don't be surprise. I have and will post this one everywhere I can. Needless to say this one is the jewel of my crown, IF you will....

April 19, 2009 - After a game of OFC (Online Forum Challenge) Buy-in $5+.50.....

Whoooooo Hoooooooooo !!! Yabadabadooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!

This is how this came to be....

Finished 69th in the OFC at Cake today, only 9 short of the moulah. Was pretty upset about it (made some pretty big mistake). Anyways went into the lobby and saw there was a qualifier going on for the $20K Gtd. So thought to myself, well... $5+.50 with a bunch of tickets given entry. Whyyy not!

Whoooo Hoooo!! Made 2nd place and qualified for the game half an hour later. Took a shower and got myself mentally ready and the time came.

Sat down with my cola and started playing while the hubby was making supper (he didn't mind since I was trying to get us some $$$).

Came down to H/U with this guy which kept going in pretty strong each hand. Almost got him too. Figured I had a pretty good chance since I had a lunatic at final table who was re-raising with crap ( and I mean CRAP) all of the bloody time, and got her out!!

Anyways, didn't finish first but was one hell of a good battle....

A great payday for sure.... $3,268.00

Stay tune for the next instalment ......
