Like Las Vegas, I'm Always Open And Ready To Play
My Guess For WSOP 2012 Start Date is...
So I've been looking at the history of the event over the last few years to see what the pattern has been. Based on that and the way the dates fall this year, my guess is that the World Series of Poker will begin on Friday June 1st 2012. Prelim events will take place the day before, but I think the actual event will kick off on that Friday. Of course at the Rio Casino as usual.
You know what? Some day I hope to be able to play like this guy right here. Fat chance huh?! This clip is freaking unreal. It's like the guy can actually see what cards everybody else has, what they need to beat what he has, and can calculate the odds on the fly. Incredible. Worth a watch. Enjoy.
World Series of Poker 2012 WSOP Dates
World Series of Poker 2012 WSOP Dates should be coming any day now. It seems like it takes longer and longer every year for these guys to make up their minds. Not that I'm in a hurry or anything, but it would be nice to know so I can get all my arrangements setup for WSOP housing. I hate having everything up in the air! I want my tickets and lodging for WSOP all setup and done. And paid for too!
I'm thinking I may go for something a little more luxurious this year. We (buddies) shared a place last year that was pretty nice. But this year we've decided to invest more in our off-hours conditions and find something really special. A couple I've had my eye on are on Las Vegas Retreats. One is of the Las Vegas vacation rentals is Castillo Del Rio, which just looks killer. The other one is Palacio Cascada, which, for a Luxury Las Vegas vacation rental, is an amazing home. I'm not sure we can afford it, but if we can hook up with one more person, we might give it a shot.
Anyway, I hope they announce the dates soon. I'm ready to book my flights too!
WSOP Housing
It's time to start look for WSOP housing again. So here is my honest advice. If you're looking for WSOP housing that wont be a letdown, I recommend Las Vegas Retreats or Las Vegas Poker Homes. Both of these websites appear to be run by Las Vegas Retreats. They've got great homes that are all really close to the Rio and the tournament.
I was a little worried at first to book a vacation homes, but Las Vegas Retreats had a great reputation and turned out to be a good bet. At this point I have rented homes with them several times. They have always been great!
