WSOP Goes ‘Blinger’ With 2012 Bracelets
There is amazing news that makes WSOP (World Series of Poker) all the more fascinating once again. This year, the WSOP has come with its distinct designer championship bracelet which has been designed by famous jeweler, Jason Arasheben, well known as Jason of Beverly Hills for his lavish, over-the-top diamond masterpieces. The bracelet which is remarkably considered to be the most expensive piece of championship jewelry in poker and the dream of almost every poker player, will be awarded for all of the open events in the WSOP 2012.
The 2012 Main Event bracelet will feature exclusive round cut diamonds with all the four suits in either rubies or black diamonds. The bracelet weighs over 160 grams of 14 karat gold and over 35 carats of diamonds. Except the Main Event winner, all the WSOP champions inLas VegasandEuropein 2012 will be honored with the new, “Blinger” gold bracelet. While the winner of the $1m Big One for One Drop will be awarded a special platinum bracelet.

Previously Arasheben was famous for designing the championship rings for the 2009 and 2010 Los Angeles Lakers, the 2011 Green Bay Packers and a number of celebs like musicians ranging from Michael Jackson to Justin Bieber, including some of the biggest actors, athletes, and celebrities in the world.
On this occasion, Arasheben graciously said, “I’m a big poker fan and on top of that I had a very good friend that had heard they were looking for a jeweler to do the World Series of Poker bracelets. WPT Releases Season XI 2012 Schedule
On Wednesday, the World Poker Tour (WPT) released the schedule for its 2012 season event. Just after the upcoming season X WPT World Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the season XI will begin in August.
This year, the WPT has picked two new venues on the schedule for its first two events. The Merit-Grand Casino will be the first venue to serve as host to the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic from August 4 to 9. Following that the other venue will be the WPT Parx Open Poker Classic starting from August 10th at the Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The players who intend to compete both the event can first try their hand in the season opener and then they can turn around and play in the next event.
The WPT has also included two new stops in its schedule for the 2012 event. WPT Copenhagen will be held November 12-17 at Denmark’s Casino Copenhagen, and very early within two weeks WPT Mazagan will begin at the Mazagan Casino, Mazagan Beach, and Golf Resort in Morocco November 26-December 1. And in the end of the year’s event, long – standing Five Diamond World Poker Classic will be held at Bellagio December 17-22. The WPT has added one interesting schedule that the two WPT events will be held on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean simultaneously. Both the WPT Malta and the Borgata Poker Open will begin on September 16. WPT Malta will end September 20, while the Borgata Poker Open will extend for one more day.
The WPT’s all main events are re-entry events where the players can try again on the second Day 1 fight if they fail to get throught the Day 1 fight. However, those players who would like to take re-entry, will be required to buy-in again. Out of eleven only five events will be televised. These events are – WPT Parx Open Poker Classic, Legends of Poker, WPT Grand Prix de Paris, Borgata Poker Open, and the Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

Four Of A Kind – The Quads
Poker is played with cards and has its own rules and regulations that are to be followed by the players. The card deck contains the standard 52 cards. The individual cards are set from the high ranking cards to the lower ones and the card sequence starts with the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, and so on. In poker different suits have the same ranking. There are different sequences or hands that determine the winner like the Flush, Four of a Kind, Straight, Full House, Three of a Kind and others.
In poker the player has to form a sequence of the cards which has to be the best or the winning hand. In case the player feels he does not have good cards he can choose to fold and pack. The Four of a Kind is the sequence of the cards where the four cards are of the same rank, for example if you have four Kings or four 10s or four Jacks. As many poker games are played with five cards, the fifth card that a player has is called kicker. This combination is also called as ‘quads’ and you will find that in Europe it is also called ‘poker’.
If two players get Four of a Kind, the one who has higher ranking quads is the winner. For example if one has the cards as four 6’s and the other one has got four 3’s – then the person who has the set of 6’s is the winner.
When you have a Four of a Kind in your hand you can relax and it is a very strong hand. Sometimes when one has such a hand – it is difficult to find out how to play it. One must not get too much excited or make the opponents realize that they have the least chance of winning.
The Four of a Kind hand is the best that you can get but you must consider that at every moment the face of the game changes and someone else may have a better set of cards with them. You need to slow play the cards and check if others play their hands which can be better than your quads. You will find that with a quad the chance of flopping is absent but still it is advisable that you play after checking your hands and the hands of others too.

Barry Greenstein’s best work is out with two hundred pictures and excellent layout. Its primer gives you the fundamentals and basics of the game though Barry did not intend to write it. Barry has given some hand examples to make it easy to understand. Had he given some more of them, the worth of the book would have increased. Nevertheless, the book is highly recommended for Barry Greenstein’s wonderful writing style and glossy pages which tempt you.

WSOP To Stream 60 Bracelet Final Tables Online
The World Series of Poker has recently announced its plans to stream 60 final tables online live via WSOP.com from 2012 WSOP in Las Vegas. The event will be running from May 28th through July 8th. All 60 gold bracelet events will be covered by the live streams with six different camera angles. While the commentary will be provided by David Tuchman and a rotating cast of player commentators. The streams are scheduled to start at 1pm and 2pm daily, though these schedules depend on reaching the official final table.
Tuchman said, “It doesn’t get bigger or better than the World Series of Poker.” Tuchman added saying, “I am excited and humbled to be working with the WSOP to bring the live stream to a hungry and growing audience.”
Jay “WhoJedi” Newnum, the WSOP’s video coordinator, has been engaged to supervise the streaming. There is also an urging message from the WSOP for Players who are interested in providing analysis and color commentary for the live stream. It requests them to contact Newnum via twitter @WhoJedi. The entire streaming will be spread across three stages. These streams will be on a five-minute delay, without hole cards, to conform to gaming regulations.
In the first stage, there will be streaming of up to three final tables a day on a five-minute delay with commentary by David Tuchman and a rotating group of player analysts. The first stage stream will be taking place on the main stage inside the Amazon Ballroom at the Rio Hotel and Casino with the main focus on flop games. While the second stage, hole cards will not be shown on any of the live streams. Though there will be commentary directly from the tournament director’s microphone.
When there will be two or more final tables are taking place on the same day, the secondary setup which uses the same two-camera “fly-on-the-wall” style will be in operation. This is something which was seen at the 2011 WSOP earlier. On the other hand, most of the non-flop games will be streamed on the secondary final table.
